Benedict Park Sports Lighting Upgrades

Spectra Electrical Services, Inc. was contracted to remove the existing sports field lighting (6 poles total) and replace with 8 new 80' steel poles, mounted on pre-cast concrete bases (slip fit technology from MUSCO lighting) with 80 new 1500W heads for the multi-purpose athletic fields (soccer and softball/baseball). This project enhanced the lighting foot candle levels on the fields to the IES recommended levels of 30fc at the soccer fields, 50fc at the diamond infields and 30fc at the diamond outfields. Work on this project also included new underground power distribution, lighting controls and electrical power distribution equipment upgrades. This project was performed while the park remained open for public use.
